Guelph, ON April 13 2020 – Turf managers and lawn care companies now have a simpler way to control common turf insects – Tetrino turf insecticide.

Newly registered, and now available in Canada for the 2020 season, Tetrino delivers a new level of flexibility and confidence when it comes to application timing and rates. With a wider application window, a simple rate structure and broad-spectrum control of white grubs, annual bluegrass weevil, chinch bugs and turf caterpillars, Tetrino offers a new way to mange turf insects.

“Tetrino’s active ingredient, tetraniliprole, is designed specifically for turf management and allows the most flexibility in application, rate and range of pests controlled,” says Tim Steen, Canadian Golf Segment Sales Manager for Bayer ES. “Tetrino also offers the first new active ingredient in this market segment in over a decade.”

This fast acting season-long control solution for problem turf insects can be applied preventatively or as an early curative solution for both surface and subsurface feeding insects.

“The flexibility in application timing and low use rates for sustainable insect control also offers new cost-saving opportunities in turf management because you can wait until you see the problem before applying Tetrino,” says Steen.

Tetrino is a Group 28 insecticide. The insecticide can be applied at 11.6 – 23.2 mL per 100 m2, depending on the insect pest and history of pest pressure. Use the highest rate in areas with chronic infestations. Per label recommendations, allow a minimum of four weeks between applications. Learn more about Tetrino.
